The most common species used in Timbercraft Homes is Douglas fir. Other wood species that we occasionally use include Port Orford cedar, Sitka spruce and Yellow cedar. Frames can also be cut from reclaimed or kiln dried timber.

A You can use pretty much any type of wood as long as it has not been chemically treated with preservatives etc. Standard cordwood split one additional time is good for optimal burning/heating. Lengths the stoves can handle are as follows:

But we can recommend what technical capabilities the system you choose should have: MHz or faster CPU. Any CAD program will push a computer to its limits. The faster the CPU, the more quickly it will complete any given task. The more RAM you can afford, the better. We recommend at least 128 megabytes of RAM or more.

Lumberjack Log homes uses strictly Lodgepole Pine in our log homes. We feel that the growth properties of lodgepole pine match the characteristics that are necessary in a log home. Lodgepole pine is a medium-high density wood. This allows us to use this species in all aspects of the log package. Many log home manufacturers advertise a western white wood. Using one specie of wood allows us to eliminate some of the settling and aesthetic problems associated with using more than one specie.

You will want to use ¾ inch plywood for the main shell of the closet. You can use ½ inch or 5/8 inch plywood for the doors. I would use ¼ inch plywood for the back. You can also use ¾ inch melamine. That’s particle board with a white plastic cover. That’s what the store bought closet is made of.

I think many well-meaning tobacconists do a disservice to the novice by suggesting a "mild" tobacco, especially an aromatic tobacco, to start with.
