MapSpinner is a free application for creating image maps visually. There is a shortcuts to this application in the Tags : Image Map menu. Press the option key when selecting the application in the menu to view additional information about the application.

Because the image that is popped is actually a copy of the original image placed on the page using "absolute" positioning it is NOT part of the flow that includes your <a> tag anymore. The problem with a clickable Popped image is of course that a link implies that it will be clicked in order to go somewhere, so you have to make sure that PopBox calls are NOT made in the onclick handler.

This could be one of a number of problems, but the most frequent is a browser problem... Some browsers don't recognize the HTML code <INPUT TYPE=IMAGE...>. I think Netcom NetCruiser still has this problem, and older versions of other web browsers. You'll need to upgrade your web browser.

The information calculated when you georeference a map image is saved to a small text file with the same name as the map image but with a .wld file extension. In order for Spitfire to find this geo data when the map image file is later opened it must reside in the same folder. Ensure that your disk is not full and that the media is writeable. If for example you are trying to georeference an image that is on a CD-ROM, copy it to your hard disk first.

The SprintPCS Vision ® phones accept graphics in the PNG (Portable Network Graphics), JPEG (also JPG and JPE extensions), and WBMP (Wireless Bitmap) formats. Many graphics programs can create or convert images to the first two formats. The need for WBMP is low so I'll be brief on that topic. The WBMP format is a black and white image designed for the older web-enabled phones. Macromedia's Fireworks ® can create these files. You can also find free converters and creators online.

No, a map is an optional extra. We recommend that establishments do make an effort to submit a map, as it will enhance the user's experience on your page.

The overall process, as with any thematic mapping in MapViewer, is to first create an advanced style that will be applied to individual features. The second step is to create a theme that will make use of the advanced style. Finally (optional), you may create a basemap that includes such a theme. Once these steps are done, you can then issue map requests just you would for a "normal" map. Below are the detailed instructions for each step.

Search by Keyword - search for "Texas", "Arrowsmith", "Geographical", etc. The search is case insensitive. View a much larger page that shows "all maps" or some other large category. As these pages are slow, the previous searches are preferable.

You can insert up to 20 areas per image. If you need more, you can split the image in different sections with a paint program.

You can click on any of these to change the order in which the posts are sorted and displayed. If you click on Subject once, it will display posts by Subject in reverse alphabetical order.
