Not currently, but our intention is to eventually make Dream Aquarium into an active desktop, which means the aquarium will be running at all times on your desktop, behind your windows and icons. We do not make any guarantees this will happen, just that it is our intention.

When it comes to how corals grow, each category of animal requires its own unique lighting requirements, but many share one common trait; photosynthesis in order to survive. This light will grow live coral and your marine life will thrive. The light intensity and the color temperature are what you need to grow most species of coral. That said, you should read as many opinions as you can that relate to your set up.

Another good question. The answer is yes using our new filters you can create a dawn to dusk set up quite easily, providing the tank is large enough. On a tank using 3 or more lights you can alternate the lights using a strip outlet and timers and our filters. At Dawn or Dusk you set up the timers and 1 or more alternate lights to go on with our 3203 and possibly our 3206 (use both filters or even two 3202's) to give you a very rich deep blue light with a color temperature from 14,000K up.

Salinity is a measure of the total amount of dissolved salts in seawater. It is measured in parts per thousand (ppt or 0/00). The average salinity of the ocean is around 34 to 37 ppt. Marine aquariums are measured in specific gravity. Specific gravity may be defined as the ration of the density of the liquid to the density of water. The specific gravity of seawater at 35 ppt is 1.026. The proper range for a marine aquarium is 1.020 to 1.026.

Yes, however since there is already a good virtual marine aquarium on the market, we're focusing on freshwater initially. Yes, Dream Aquarium will display an aquarium on each monitor, and the fish and settings can be changed individually for each monitor. In the future we will have an extra-wide aquarium which extends across both monitors.

Marine Aquarium is an aquarium simulation program. It can be assigned as a screen saver, but it was primarily designed to emulate the elegance and serenity of watching an aquarium.

There are several cases where you may need to uninstall and reinstall Marine Aquarium. Please consult the Troubleshooting section of our FAQ for a solution there first. However, corrupt downloads, new system settings, new video card drivers, or other such circumstances may make Marine Aquarium stop running properly.
