To access via web through the Exchange interface, enter the following url into a browser:http://owa.nomedominio.ext then enter your email and the password you chose when you activated your Exchange account in the form.

Outlook Web Access (OWA) is the web-based email client. Your email can be accessed from any computer that has Internet access and a browser. It is very easy to use and can be used anywhere to access your inbox or manage your email account. While you may use other types of email clients, we endorse and will only support the use of OWA for your email.

Login, using your UNID and Network password. (NOTE: Most Outlook passwords are synched with the users' NDS account. If you do not have an NDS account, or if your network password does not work, try your CIS (Kronos) password.) If your login was successful, your Outlook Web Access mailbox will open. You can send and receive email, view your calendar, and schedule appointments using Outlook Web Access. Click the Log Off button (upper right-hand corner of the OWA window) to close OWA.

The “native” Outlook client and OWA allow you to access your email account and other services on the Exchange server. MS Outlook is the primary client for MS Exchange Server. It is designed to operate as an Independent personal information manager (PIM), or in conjunction with the MS Exchange Server for group scheduling, email and task management.

Outlook Web Access is the online email client that predoctoral students can use to access their email account. Check out the OWA Quick Reference.

Click on OK a few times and then run Outlook. The additional mailbox should be listed. If you receive errors when you try to expand it you need to check your permissions to the mailbox.

Anyone with a Windows STUDENT domain account automatically receives a Student Exchange account. For the full instructions, see the WPI Exchange Server Guide for Students. Exchange accounts are available to WPI faculty and staff. A Windows ADMIN domain account is required to use the WPI Exchange server.

You have 250 mb total which is a big increase from your previous account. An email reminder will be sent before you are over quota to delete any emails you no longer need. A good place to look is in the deleted folder. If you do get over quota you will still receive emails but you will not be able to send any until you are under your quota. To find your quota simply sit your mouse pointer over the first folder and a box will appear with your information using Internet Explorer as your browser.

OWA is always slightly slower than a direct connection using the Outlook client. The Outlook client connects directly to a back-end server where the mailbox data is stored. However, OWA communicates first with a "front-end" server which then relays requests to the "back-end" server. This is a security feature that enables us to never expose our critical back-end servers directly to the Internet.

When using OWA, sometimes I have more features - the preview pane, an expandable folder tree, Rules, pop-up notifications, monthly calendar view, etc. - and sometimes I don't. Why? (What is the difference between "Premium" OWA and "Basic"?)

After creating a meeting in Exchange, changes are made but are not reflected on the other attendees' calendars. Others tell me that when they try to schedule an Exchange meeting with me my times show as "No Information".
