A matriculated student is a student who has filed an application to be admitted to a degree or certificate program, has been officially accepted, and has registered for the specific term for which he or she has been accepted. Matriculated students may attend on a full-time or part-time basis. A non-matriculated student is one who has enrolled in one, but no more than two credit courses, and has not been admitted as a degree or certificate candidate in any program within the college.

You can take up to a total of nine to twelve total credits before having to apply to a Program. Additional non-matric coursework would need to be approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research. The number depends on the number of credits in the program. It is generally 30%.

You do not need to possess a degree in nutrition to apply to the Master's program. For the online Certificate of Sports Nutrition, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition, exercise physiology, kinesiology, or sports medicine or related fields such as biology, physical therapy, and nursing. For both programs, you must have a Bachelor's degree and have completed the prerequisites and received grades for these courses within the past ten consecutive years at an accredited U.S.

YES - for NON-NURSING courses - review the NU BS Curriculum, which lists the courses required. You CAN take any class up thru the 3rd semester EXCEPT for any course number beginning with NU. YES - for ESPE courses you can register for any class, but you must obtain permission from the ESPE Department before registering.

If the sponsoring agency gives the funds for tuition and student fees directly to the sponsored student, then the student can pay the registration deposit (by mailing in a money order to The Cashiers – 3333 University Way, Prince George, BC V2N 4Z9, or by using a credit card online, or by calling The Cashiers at 250.960.5631 with credit card number and student identification number). Then the student will be able to register online or in person at the Office of the Registrar.

U.S. students may register for the HCA 500: Health Care Accounting and HCA 501: Self and Small Group Leadership courses by completing an SHS registration form (PDF). Be sure that you indicate you are registering as a Health Studies Non-Degree student. Fax this form to the School for Health Studies at 617-521-3137 to the attention of the Office of Admission. Your form will be processed and send to the Registrar's Office. When you register you will be billed at a later date for this course.
