Windows XP's drivers are basic ones that just allow you to manipulate the desktop (and possibly directx also). You have to get updated XP drivers from your card's manufacturer. dfx has closed down, if you do not know yet. Fortunately, some geeks have hacked (or tweaked) 3dfx's original drivers to make it compatible with Windows XP.

This usually only happens with early versions of OS 8. We have included the Apple OpenGL installer on our CD for people running this version of Mac OS. Open up the GollyGee Blocks CD, then open the "OpenGL Install" folder. Run the OpenGL installer and you should be all set.

In the list you get, click on "Sound, view and game controllers". If you don't see anything related to SOUND, click on "Refresh". The detection will start. If you still don't get anything related to sound, Bad luck... : (. You don't have it.

My main development machine now has a Voodoo2 in it, although for a long time I was using a Voodoo Graphics (sst1) in the form of a Diamond Monster 3D. I'm using version 2.x of Glide because it has the most stable support for Voodoo Graphics, I'll probably write a gal_glide3.c layer and then be able to compare the to but I've been leary of doing that given the problems with its support of Voodoo Graphics.

In the display menu in the Control Panel, In the Settings tab select the Advanced button, there should be a slider bar to turn down the level of acceleration. Try knocking it down a few notches, this will use safer methods to redraw the cursor.

Maybe the Chathost is having problems with their video? In the text chat area ask if others have a problem seeing the Video. In order to see live streaming video in your browser you must have Java enabled. You don't need to know what Java is about (it's technical stuff), but you will need to check that the Java option is enabled in your browser.
