Yes. It is very normal and it means you are almost done healing. Refer to “How do I know when it’s done healing” and “how does a tattoo work” Remember don’t pick at it and don’t worry…the tattoo will be just fine. The ink under your skin will still be there.

That is normal for the first 24 hours. If it is happing after that you are using too much ointment or not letting it dry long enough after you wash it. Refer to “Aftercare instructions” if you are unsure of the process.

Peeling and flaking of a new tattoo is perfectly normal. Before it actually begins to peel, the tattoo will look like it's covered with a whitish, cracking film. Then you'll see white or translucent flakes of old, dead skin start to peel off and some of the flakes may even contain some ink. Sometimes you can actually see a duplicate image of part of your tattoo peeling off - it's rather disconcerting, but it is also perfectly normal and there is no need to panic.

Some users may be extra sensitive to the ingredients in our products. This can cause minor blemishes and/or peeling in the first week of use. The body's natural defense is to push what is on top off. The body will try to push off what is covering the skin. It will try to push off the ointment and the pigments naturally get pushed to the top as well. It is very important not to over apply when healing a tattoo.

If Tattoo Goo did not have the color, it would look milky, and not pleasing to the eye. The colors that are added make the consistency even and uniform. The colors are D/C food grade colors and will not stain clothing or the skin. It will NOT change the color or tattoos.

It is normal for ETHEX's morphine solution to vary in color from pink or light red to orange or amber-pink. Since our formulation contains ascorbic acid, this product tends to golden with age. This color change can occur even in a closed or sealed bottle, and is not indicative of the product's potency. Yes, the shoes are molded and it's common to see slight color variations, esp. in the darker colors. This is not a defect nor will it hinder the function of the shoes. The sandal tops are often made from a different leather lot than the footpad which could result in a slight difference in shades.

All of our candles are made with pure beeswax which is usually a golden yellow color with sometimes a golden brown tint. Highly refined, bleached beeswax may sometimes be white (or very light in color) but the beeswax that is used by most beekeepers who produce candles has a golden color from slight amounts of pollen & propolis (a substance produce by the honeybees to glue their beehives together) that is in the wax.

Peeling is the final result when a paint film loses its adhesion to the substrate. Peeling may occur between coats of paint (intercoat failure), or all the paint coats may peel from the underlying substrate (total film failure).

Slick, glossy or non-porous surfaces - Prepare the surface to give it more 'tooth' (a rougher surface profile), so the paint will adhere better.
