If your GPA is 2.75 or higher, you are eligible to be admitted as a regular student. If your GPA is a 2.0 through 2.74, then you may be admitted as a student on probation status. Students not admitted to the university may take up to 15 credit hours. Students admitted to the university, but not the college, may also take business courses. However, with both groups of students, prerequisites are enforced for all courses and there is no guarantee these business courses will remain part of the degree program. The college does discourage students who are planning to major in business from taking third- and fourth-year courses until they gain full admission to the college.

Transfer students with a GPA lower than 2.0 from their previous institution are accepted to Wayne College with a probationary status. These students must meet with an academic adviser prior to registering for classes. At this meeting, the student will sign a contract (Academic Action Form) outlining the minimum requirements to avoid dismissal from Wayne College.
