The university's comptroller's office has the responsibility of printing checks and distribution of them. Our office of financial aid is not involved in that process.

The greatest current threat to numbers across Tasmania is the Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD). It’s a fatal condition that is restricted to devils, characterised by cancers around the mouth and head. In 1996, Tasmanian devils were photographed in north-east Tasmania with what were apparently large tumours on their faces. Since then, (as at December 2006), there has been a 90 per cent decline of average spotlighting sightings in that region, and a drop of 41 per cent across the State.

Always have a backup MICR toner cartridge available so you won't have any downtime if you unexpectedly run out of toner or have a problem with the cartridge. Store toner cartridges in a cool, dark place in their foil bag and box to protect them from light and moisture. Make sure they are stored horizontally, not on end. Keep your laser printer clean. Paper dust and toner particles can accumulate inside the machine and adversely affect print quality.

When it asks "are checks OK?", answer No and choose Yes to reprint. You can then choose to reprint All Checks, From First Bad Check, or Range of Checks. If you have already answered Yes to "are checks OK?", you can still choose the print checks option again and answer yes to rerun the step. You will get the same options listed above for reprinting. This also applies to Direct Deposits under the Print Direct Deposits menu option.

Generally, technologies subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are those which are in the United States or of U.S. origin, in whole or in part. Most are proprietary. In summary 1.1/AWT printing can be used for many basic cases but has largely been superseded by 2D printing (as of J2SE 1.2), and when the javax.print package was added in J2SE 1.4 it was made largely complementary to 2D printing and integrated with it for ease of us. So most applications which are focused on rendering to a printer will find it more natural to centre around PrinterJob. So the presently recommended way to print for most applications is to use java.awt.print.

Checks received in a department as payment for sponsored projects should be hand carried to OSP or to the Sponsored Accounting Office (SAO). Please include any documentation or notes received from the sponsor that indicate the sponsor's account number.
