Once you have passed the CPA exam, you are required to pass the AICPA’s Professional Ethics course.Once a candidate has successfully completed the ethics course, and has been issued a Kansas CPA certificate, a person may use the CPA as a credential only. (In other words, CPA may appear after a person’s name if they are working in an industry that is not related to the practice of public accountancy.

We expect all professional staff people to pass the C.P.A. examination and gain certification within a reasonable time after joining the firm. We realize that timing may vary for different people. ORBA, we give as much assistance as needed to staff preparing for the examination. We offer reimbursement for review classes and exams, and we provide paid days off for study and exam days. We even allow time throughout the work day during "down times" to study for the exam.

The CPA Exam is given twice a year, on Wednesday and Thursday of the first week of May and November. Projected exam dates are as follows:

TDLR will mail you an initial License Application Form within five working days. Complete that application and return it with payment to TDLR to obtain your license.

Exam section of the exam is scored immediately upon completion. After a student has completed all sections the raw test scores are converted to the final total. A student will be informed of the pass/fail result prior to leaving the testing facility.

The old saying goes, "If you don't use it, you will lose it." Take the exam while the course information is fresh in your mind. Register for the review courses shortly before you have completed the 150-hour requirement. Let the NIU CPA Review assist you in completing your exam application. Then, review while your application to sit for the exam is being processed. Sit for a second shortly after the review course ends.

You must meet the experience requirement which is one year of accounting. This experience may be in public, private, governmental or academia. If you are planning to perform attestation functions, you will be required to complete 375 hours of the 2000 hour requirement in a licensed firm, performing compilation, audit or reviews. Further you must complete an Ethics course to be determined by the board. You must request an application from the board and submit it along with a fee of $50.

Successful completion of course work consisting of at least 150 semester hours, with a concentration in accounting, at a college or university recognized by the board, and the applicant is the holder of a baccalaureate or higher academic degree.A candidate MUST meet the education requirements and be able to provide an official transcript or transcripts indicating such BEFORE making application to sit for the exam.

The CPA Exam is designed as a licensing requirement to measure the technical competence of CPA candidates. Although licensing occurs at the State Board level, it is a uniform exam with national acceptance. Generally, passing the CPA Exam in one jurisdiction allows a candidate to obtain a reciprocal certificate or license if they meet all the requirements imposed by the jurisdiction from which reciprocity is being sought.

Due to the fact that InterAmerican University is an international blended-learning institution, we do not always meet the regional requirements that these exams require. We strongly recommend you check with the licensing body for these exams first to see if they will accept Inter-American University 's credits.

You will be notified in approximately four weeks on how well you performed. AWS will not divulge your test results by telephone to ensure privacy.

When you take the exam you will know immediately if you passed. If you did not pass you will be given another chance to try and pass the exam. If you did pass a screen will pop-up congratulating you on passing the final and informing you that you certificate will be mailed shortly.

When you pass an exam, your certificate is automatically generated as a PDF and available on the Certification Central page (login required). If you do not see the PDF link in the Exam History link, contact the Training department with your username.

To register and receive an authorization to test (ATT) in the state of Illinois, consult the Illinois Board of Examiners at www.ilboa.org. There is no longer an application due date as candidates may sit for the exam during the first two months of every quarter (referred to as "testing windows").
