The only files that are shared are the ones that the downloader is currently downloading. The downloader does not allow other peers to access arbitrary files on your computer. Files are only shared while the downloader is running.

Each person downloading the file will offer a portion of their upload bandwidth to allow other users to download the same file. By using the upload bandwidth only, the individual user will not see a decrease in their download speed - in fact, the more users there are downloading the file, the faster everyone's individual download speed will be. The Blizzard Downloader is only active when you are downloading files, and only accesses files associated with the data that you are downloading.

Videos belonging to games from Blizzard contain DivX video, but with a different FourCC, namely "BLZ0". To play such videos you need to use ffdshow for decoding DivX video. The regular DivX decoder won't work (unless you manually change the FourCC). If that doesn't solve the problem, then you should use Media Player Classic or VideoLAN to play the file.

Yes, when restarting the downloader, you can resume your existing download if you save to the same location.

Go to Member Center, click on Kundaliniyoga, and then click on option for shared files. When you are there you can browse the files already posted, you can create your own directories and upload your own files to them, or you can delete files previously uploaded by yourself. If you have any problems with this, contact the List Owner.

The Rangboom client makes your shared directories visible to you and your group members. The server does NOT store any files. All files are accessed through the client. There are no routing issues, because the client establishes the link to the server. The data is requested directly from each member's machine, when it is needed. Rangboom does not cache any of your data.

Sometimes, some remote object definitions are factored into a shared IDL file, and used in multiple other IDL files. The Rangboom client does not make a distinction between files. Any file type can be shared so long as you have permitted your group to access them. For GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 6.10) download the Rangboom Client Package for I386 Linux (Debian package) and install it using dpkg.

All faculty and Staff with a csuchico email address have a personal folder automatically created for them on the Bay shared file server. From your office computer, Windows users can access this folder by going to My Computer and opening Drive U. Drive U connects to the Bay file server in the following location: where <init> is the first initial of your Outlook login username and <userid> is your full Outlook userid.

The main user interface for NextPage Document Retention displays document threads grouped by project. Document threads list a field labeled Shared Files. When you click on the link in the Shared Files column, all copies of the document thread that are on the server are listed in a new window. The window displays useful information such as author, and date/time. You can access these files but cannot delete them directly from this window.

You can use Windows Media Player 11 to share media files that are located on other computers on your home network. However, additional steps are required so that these remote files will play on the devices you are sharing them with. On the remote computer, the media files must be in shared folders. with the Firefox issue, this is a reaction to security issues, and affects users running versions from around WinXP SP2. The specific issue is that file: links to files on a drive that are referenced by drive letter (e.g. file:U:\\file.doc) don't work. Our strong recommendation is to refer to such files using UNC style paths. If you absolutely must use drive letters, you should be able to adjust the IE security settings to allow this.
