A double has one large bed (usually a queen size), big enough for two or for one person who likes a lot of room. Thus, when mentioned in the price info, "Double Room Single Occupancy" it implies a normal double room (with a large bed), but only authorised to accomodate one person. Triple and quadruple rooms accommodate three and four people respectively.

We do have twin and triple rooms. However, no quadruple rooms are available. We do offer connecting rooms that allow direct access between two rooms.

The vast majority of students here are assigned to standard double rooms. We do, however, have a handful of rooms that are over-sized and designed to accommodate three students. The fee for these rooms is slightly less. These rooms are not double rooms that have been converted to triples to accommodate overcrowded conditions. A double Hotel room, or Double Studio, is for 2 persons. The Triple for 3 persons and the Quadruple for 4. The apartments are based on the number on Bedrooms and each bedroom can sleep up to 2 persons.

A Twin room type is meant for two adults in a room with either two single beds, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A Triple room type is for a maximum of three adults in a room. The bed configuration could be two singles with a rollaway, a queen-size bed with a rollaway or a king-size bed with a rollaway. Normally, you can make a special request for queen-size or king-size beds, depending on availability.

A Single provides harder acceleration (torque), while a Quad will provide a much smoother power band. The 8, 12, 10, 14, or 16 turn motors will provide a lot more rpm than a stock 27 turn (less wire means less weight), but, obviously, the 8 will have the best rpm (typically).

A Single has one thick wire, a Double is a two thinner wires, a Triple has three thinner wires than the Double, a Quad has four thinner wires, and so on. So, an 8 Double will have TWO (Double) thin wires wrapped around the pole 8 times. A 12 Triple will have THREE (Triple) wires wrapped around the pole 12 times, and the 10 Single will have ONE (Single) thick wire wrapped around the pole 10 times.

A Double Room is a private room for maximum of two (2) people. The double room may have either 2 single beds or a matrimonal double bed. Double rooms are reserved on a per room basis. A double room features a large bed suitable for two people to share. A twin room has two separate beds that are suitable for one person in each. A single room has one bed, suitable for one person.

Unfortunately, this varies from property to property. To avoid confusion it is suggested that in the notes one asks specifically for a matrimonial bed if wanting a double and two separate beds if wanting a twin.
