If the file type appears in the Save dialog but is grayed out, you may need to change the image type. For instance, you can't save an RGB as a GIF (convert to indexed first) or an indexed image to JPEG (convert to RGB first). GIMP comes with full support for a few types built in. If the type you want doesn't appear in file type format of the Open and Save dialogs, you need to check the Plug-in registry to see whether you need to download an optional plug-in.

You need to install GhostScript to be able to read PostScript files with GIMP. GhostScript can be downloaded from http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/. The videos are encoded using the Microsoft Windows Media 9 codec to ensure the maximum possible video quality. In order to offer you a broad selection of full-length music videos on-demand and free of charge we use Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect the videos from unauthorized re-distribution. Unfortunately, Microsoft's Windows Media Player Plug-in for Macintosh does not currently support DRM. When DRM support becomes available for Macintosh, we will work to support Macintosh.

Simply click and drag a folder over the source folder area then let go. This will open the folder within the source folder area so that you may use the files within. Use the "Browse source folder" option in the FILE menu, which brings up a window allowing you to serach the directory tree of your computer. Once a folder is selected and OK is clicked the folder is opened in the source folder area. There is also a folder drop down list slightly above the souce area.

Some sites take steps to stop people downloading files without looking at the web page containing the file hyperlink. If you open the file you have downloaded with Notepad or Wordpad ( even if it says it is an image file like .jpg ) you may well find that it is in fact an html page that you have been diverted to.

You might be running into a problem relating to non-compatibility for vector images. All of our clipart images are created with vector objects and saved as "encapsulated postscript" (.eps) files, "CorelDraw" (.cdr) files because they offer the widest compatibility and manipulation opportunity. That said, we do provide high-res jpgs or high-res tifs and these can be opened in any paint or photo software.

Check to see whether you have Word or Excel on your machine. In case you do, check to see if by default files with doc or xls extensions should be opened in the browser or downloaded.
