long as the alien continues to provide H-1B services for a U.S. employer, most changes will not mean that an alien is out of status. An alien may change H-1B employers without affecting status, but the new H-1B employer must file a new Form I-129 petition for the alien before he or she begins working for the new employer. The merger or sale of an H-1B employer’s business will not affect the alien’s status in many instances.

Employer contributions must be “comparable”, that is they must be in the same dollar amount or same percentage of the employee’s deductible for all employees in the same “class”. You can vary the level of contributions for “full-time” vs. “part-time” employees, and employees with “self-only” coverage vs. “family coverage”.

It is very important that you tell us of any changes in your circumstances so that we can amend your application. We will tell you if this results in your application moving to a different band. If you move up a band the date used will be the date you move into that band. If you move down a band the date used will be the date that applied when you were previously in that band or any earlier date when you were in a higher band.

If your family experiences an unforeseen change in financial circumstances, or if you feel you have special circumstances that should be taken into account, please note it on your Wheaton College Financial Aid application. We will review your situation for additional consideration.

Review the “Competency Evidences” to see if the employee has submitted information—this will be indicated as a highlighted “yes” under “has info” to the right of the competency. Clicking on the competency that has a “yes” under “has info” will bring up the page with evidences. If you still disagree with the assessment, have a discussion with the employee prior to submitting a rating.

Send DIMIA a completed Form 1022. If you have recently married and are informing DIMIA of the marriage, send a Form 47A as well. If you have had a child there is no form, but you should send a full birth certificate for the child.
