You can express latitude and longitude coordinates in decimal or DMS (degrees, minutes, and seconds) format. DMS coordinates can be entered in any of the following ways, where D is a single letter that indicates direction (N for north, S for south, E for east, or W for west): If you are entering a coordinate and the location is south of the equator or west of the Prime Meridian in Greenwich, England, express the latitude or longitude as a negative value; for example, -15.

Every point located on the equator (an imaginary great circle passing round the middle of the Earth) is at zero degrees of latitude. Zero degrees longitude is every point on the Greenwich Meridian or primary meridian - an imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. For most of my maps, you can use one of the following. For the Blacks and Prisons in California map, I don't have a way right now. Edit the URL in your browser by hand. Look for something like lat=-122&long=37 and change those latitude and longitude coordinates to the ones you want.
