PT17W/PT17G/PT18W/PT18G are the only models that you can connect VCR/DVD/TV directly; the LCD monitors have S-Video connector.

Long answer: The minimum requirement for reproducing audio and video on DVD is an MPEG video stream and a PCM audio track. (Other streams such as Dolby Digital audio, MPEG audio, and subpicture are not necessary for the simplest case.) Basic DVD control codes are also needed. At the moment it's difficult in real time to encode the video and audio, combine them with DVD-V info, and write the whole thing to DVD. Even if you could do all this in a home recorder, it would be extremely expensive.

It's generally not a good idea to route the video from your DVD player through your VCR. Most movies use Macrovision protection, which will cause problems such as a repeated darkening and lightening of the picture. See 1.11 and the Video RF section of 3.2 and for more info.

No. Our TV Tuner is specially designed for use with our LCD/TV monitors. This is because it uses an integrated Plug-and-Play design, with the housing for the TV Tuner built-in on the monitor.

Yes. Our LCD/TV monitors can still work without the TV Tuner card. However, in this case, they are not different from a normal LCD monitor in terms of functions and naturally, without the TV Tuner card, they will not have the TV function either.

Computers and printers require special care. Wires and cables need to be disconnected and a blank floppy disk may need to be inserted in your PC to protect the disk drive. Monitors and hardware should be wrapped similar to other home electronics. We recommend that you backup your system on to floppy disks and take them with you during the move.
