Some of our feeds have trouble with Mac's Windows Media Player version 9. Go to download.com and download version 7 or 8 and try again.

Currently the Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology does not support Macintosh operating systems. DRM is a Microsoft product and they have not made the technology available for Macintosh at this point.

Right now the site is only supported for Firefox on Macs, and Firefox and Internet Explorer on PC's. Later on, we'll add functionality for Safari. If you are using a current version of one of these browsers and the site still doesn't work, please contact us.

The Skinkers application is able to display videos in a number of formats using Windows Media Player. However, you may need to install extra software (known as codec's) on your computer to support these formats. Please go to the following URL to download the most up-to-date codec's from Microsoft:

NetLibrary audiobooks cannot be played on Macs because the latest version of Window Media Player available for Macs (version 9) is based on Windows Media Rights Manager version 1.3. NetLibrary uses version 2.x licenses for eAudiobooks in order to maintain a high level of security. Because the latest version of Windows Media Player for Macs does not support 2.x licenses, NetLibrary audiobooks cannot be played on Macs at this point in time.

We make every attempt to stay up to day with video streaming technology, so you may not have the latest plug-ins for viewing online multimedia. The most common fixes are the following:

Some web browsers (even brand-new versions) need a special plug-in to play Flash videos and this is normal. Your browser should ask you for your permission to automatically download and install the correct plug-in. If it does not, you can click here and get the plug-in. If your media player won't play Flash videos after you download them onto your hard drive, the easiest solution is to get a new and free media player that will play them from our Downloads page.

The latest version of MediaMVP software supports the playing of DivX (up to DivX version 5.0). Download and install the MediaMVP software from http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_mediamvp.html a DivX video player on your PC. You can download a player from the DivX website at www.divx.com. Most DivX videos with either mono or stereo audio can be played through the MediaMVP Only one MediaMVP can be playing a DivX video at a time.

I receive an error message telling me that I have a failed network connection when the stream is suppose to start. Or when I try to open a video, it says that the file path is incorrect. I received a "connection to the server failed", "could not connect to the server", or something similar.

To a video, click the thumbnail in the vertical strip to the left of the video player. Each of the smaller thumbnails represents a different episode within that series. Click that thumbnail and the video will play in the center. Back to top
