After you have consulted with the Reference Desk to determine that the Library does not have a publication you need and that there is not an Internet site for it, you should contact the Interlibrary Loan Department to obtain the publication for you. The Office is on the Main floor of the Morris Library or you may use the online request form.

The librarians can request magazine articles from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. You can submit 3 requests at a time. Member libraries of Library Management Network do not usually charge for sending copies of magazine articles. Magazine articles from other libraries may have an additional cost. The librarian will ask your permission before requesting these materials, or you can indicate an amount that you are willing to pay on the request form.

Even though Sibley is a very large library, we may not have everything that you need or want. If the item is not available in the University of Rochester system, we can obtain items (scores, books, periodical articles, but rarely audio or video recordings) from other libraries across the country. Sometimes there is a fee, sometimes not. For the moment, you must fill out a paper form, copies of which are located outside the door to Interlibrary Loan next to the reference desk.

If you would like any items that the Hunt Library doesn't own, you can try to obtain them through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This service is free of charge to faculty, staff, and students of Embry-Riddle. Material not held in the library's collection may be requested for a $5.00 fee per item. The fee per item must be paid at the same time that you place the order, therefore the request must be made in person. Notification will be sent by post when the item becomes available for pickup at your preferred location.

Citations may be done in several ways: the major printed source is A&A Abstracts (Z 5153.A862) shelved in the Reference section. A&A Abstracts is also available online via ARIBIB. The primary online source is the Astrophysics Data System. Other electronic sources are available from the published papers link.

TCC Library belongs to several networks (statewide and national) that share resources. If we don't own the item (book or journal article) you need, we can initiate a request for a member library to send that item to us. Click here for more on Interlibrary Loan options.

If the book is checked out, a reserve can be placed on it for you. When the book comes in you will be notified by mail. If the Library does not own the book, the Reference Staff can help you determine which libraries nearby have the book; or, if you are a Fairfield resident, you can request an interlibrary loan for a small fee. If your book doesn't appear in the SCHOLAR record, click on the "OhioLINK" button at the top of the page (see Finding Books) . If a record for your book doesn't appear in OhioLINK, you can borrow the book through our Interlibrary Loan Service.

The library is located on the west side of campus south of Mabee Dormitory, & the Don Morris Center. It is also located to the west of the campus center and to the north of Zellner and the Administration buildings.

The ability to place reserves (holds) on books and other library materials via the Dynix system is now available. You are able to reserve circulating books or audiovisual materials (cassettes, compact discs, videos, etc.) located at any Hawai'i Public Library and have them sent to your local library for pick up. You may place a reserve from any public terminal in the library or from a computer and modem in your home or office.

We may be able to locate an item for you through our Interlibrary Loan service. We also welcome your suggestions for books, CDs, or magazines the library should purchase to add to the collection.

After you have checked the library catalog to confirm that the UMD Library doesn't have the item that you want, you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request. ILL is a totally free service for UMD students, faculty and staff. The ILL Department searches many libraries to find the book, video or article that you need. It usually takes about 10 working days to receive the material, so make sure to start your research early enough that we can get the material in time for your project.

The Library provides an inter-library loan service to members for titles or journal articles not held by Central West Libraries - just complete a request form, which is available from any branch. A fee applies for all inter-library loans and conditions apply to the provision of this service.

If you would like the Library to acquire an item that it doesn't own, you may fill out a Suggestion for Purchase request. You may also borrow items from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary loan requests must be made in person at the Reference Desk. Depending on the type of request, there may be a fee for this service.

If the book is more than a year old, out-of-print, or does not fit within our collection development policy criteria to purchase, we may be able to borrow it from another library, using Interlibrary Loan. We do not ILL items we own or media. If it is a new book or media that fits within the collection development policy, we may be able to buy it for the library's collection. Because of limited funds, a patron can request the library purchase up to ten titles per fiscal year.
