The hot springs originally bubbled to the surface in twelve pools. There are three shingled huts near the Wildlife Zoo where the springs come to the surface near the current resort. The Hot Springs are extremely crowded on weekends during the summer. Hiking to the Hot Springs during the middle of the week is highly suggested. Holiday weekends are always crowded!
