To view your new calendar click Calendar in your folder list, expand the folder, and then select the calendar. To view the contents of the new calendar in your main calendar, place a checkmark next to the calendar name box. The items it contains appears with its assigned colour as its background.

A personal group allows you to type in the name of the group and send the message to everyone in the group. AFter creating the group, you can simply select the group name from the address book. To create a personal group, follow the steps below: Go into the address book and select the addresses that you want in your group by double clicking on each one. When all the addresses are in the to box on the left side of the screen, click on the Save Group button below the to box.

You can do that. Every Windows user on campus has a P: drive (Mac users should contact Joe Crowe at crowej@wou.edu for help setting up their personal web drive.) Anything you put in that drive is publicly available on the web; the actual address depends on your username. For instance, if your username is jdoe, your website is available on the web at "http://www.wou.edu/~jdoe". If you put a file called "mypage.html" in that drive, its web address is "http://www.wou.

In the control panel, click the link that says "tabs". You will see a list of all of your tabs (see What is a tab?). Select "Add a new tab" and enter a name for your calendar, such as "Calendar" or "Schedule". Note: If you do not see the "Add a new tab" box, you may have the maximum number of tabs (see How many tabs can I create?) and will need to delete one of your existing tabs if you wish to create a calendar (see How do I delete a tab?).

There are three types of calendar entries that can be created in Outlook: Appointments, Events and Meetings. All three entry types are created in the same Outlook screen and depending on the preferences selected Outlook automatically considers the entry an appointment, event or meeting. What is the difference between the three entry types? An appointment is an entry that is less than one full day and relates only to you. An event is an entry that is a minimum of one full day but could be more.

FrontPage 98 will create "htm" and "html" files that can be used for your personal Web page, but the server to which your personal Web page will be uploaded does not contain FrontPage components. Coming soon to dialup users) To create your personal Web site, you will have to know some HTML coding and File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Basic dial-up Internet access accounts receive 10MB of combined free e-mail and web space storage to build a personal Web site and 250MB of monthly bandwidth usage to access their personal Web site. Once you have downloaded the FTP software, you can create your Web site, then FTP it to our server. Your dial-up username and password provide access to web space.

Use a text editor like Notepad to create and "mark up" a document with the appropriate HTML tags. In this scenario you are manually coding the HTML. The advantages of this method is that you usually end up with cleaner, more human-friendly code - which can make maintaining your page easier. You might also gain tighter control over the appearance of your document. Of course, if you don't know HTML this is not really an option (and you probably don't want to ever see the code!).

Photos must also be saved in the JPEG or a GIF (.jpg/.jpeg or .gif) file format. Other formats such as Bitmap (.bmp) will not work.
