Accepted students are automatically considered for most merit-based scholarships. One exception is the Leading Scholars Award for Michigan residents who are seniors in high school—this application is due by October 15. To apply for need-based federal and state financial aid, students need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. To receive priority financial aid consideration at Michigan Tech, the FAFSA must be received at the federal processor by March 1.

The University of Georgia is the large land-grant comprehensive university located about an hour's drive northeast of Atlanta in the small city of Athens. It's home to programs in liberal arts, sciences, agriculture, human resources, business, law, veterinary medicine, and so on. It's probably best known as the alma mater of Heisman Trophy running back Herschel Walker, but it's also one of the oldest state universities and has a beautiful campus and many distinguished alumni.

Students should begin the process 12 to 24 months prior to beginning classes. The academic year usually begins in August/September, with many schools, however, offering beginning sessions in January. Students must first make a selection of schools to which they wish to apply. AUAP will provide a list of the five schools best suited to a particular student. Students must also take the various tests required for admission into the schools prior to submitting applications.

Anytime you are contacted by a lawyer from outside of Georgia Tech regarding any Georgia Tech business, you should refer the lawyer to OLA. We will handle their request. (top of page)

No!!! Georgia Tech will NOT award credit for courses successfully completed at another institution which were previously taken at Georgia Tech. This is regardless of the grade you received at Georgia Tech. If you have a 'W' on your transcript, then you may transfer the class into Georgia Tech. No!!! If you decide to repeat a class at Georgia Tech and complete the class, your transfer credit will be removed from your transcript.

Second Undergraduate Degree - Georgia Tech does not offer double majors but does offer a second undergraduate degree. You must meet all of the requirements for both degrees and earn credit for a total of at least 36 additional hours in excess of the first degree.

Here is a list of required lab supplies. Students can purchase most lab supplies and textbooks for GT classes through the GT bookstore. Note that the GT bookstore does not allow parts kits, protoboards, some lab manuals, etc., to be returned ? read the fine print carefully. Students should make sure to have lab supplies ready BEFORE THE FIRST WEEK OF THE SEMESTER. Some lab courses start labs BEFORE A FIRST LECTURE is held or EVEN THE SAME DAY AS THE FIRST LECTURE.

However, your idea needs to be innovative and defensible. Applications from all industries are accepted.

Candidates will be selected from those students who submit and complete an application for financial aid through the Office of Student Financial Planning and Services by the designated application deadline. Applicants for student financial aid must file a FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) as well as the GT Application for Financial Aid and Scholarships to be considered for this or any other "need-based" program.

First, you must fill out an application form, available at your sending school or in the guidance office at Platt Tech. Second, you must take the 7th grade Connecticut Mastery Test (most students will have taken this at their local school). Students at non-public schools and special education students who have been exempt from taking the mastery test can take Platt Tech's admission test in early fall. Third, we will look at your seventh and eighth grade attendance and grades.

Yes, for students who started fall 2005 and later as freshman only. There is no grade substitution policy for transfer students. The official rules can be found in the catalog.
