The best way to print a PDF file is to use PDQ as the print command behind Adobe Acrobat Reader. If Adobe Acrobat Reader is not available, sometimes using GNU ghostscript and related utilities will work.

Many formats are supported. Most signal files are written in "format 212", in which two 12-bit samples are bit-packed into three 8-bit bytes. Most annotations occupy two bytes, of which 10 bits contain the interval (in sample intervals) from the previous annotation, and 6 contain an annotation type code. This is a little more complex, since it is written as a sequential-access, unformatted FORTRAN file. This means that the hidden fields in the actual physical records on disk are different between VMS and Unix. These hidden fields tell the FORTRAN run-time-library routines how long the records are. Team Foundation Version Control provides a way to limit check-ins by setting up check-in policies that are evaluated before a check-in can take effect. The easiest way to do this is by authoring a policy that checks if the user is trying to check-in a binary file from a given folder structure and reject or accept it in accordance. A long time ago, samba 2.x was installed on the unix side. It allowed one to easily map unix files as a PC drive (usually s: for stokes, the machine it ran on). It worked really well, I didn't have to be involved in any way, it was fast enough, it was easy and everyone was happy. stokes, however, was starting to show its age. If the file type appears in the Save dialog but is grayed out, you may need to change the image type. For instance, you can't save an RGB as a GIF (convert to indexed first) or an indexed image to JPEG (convert to RGB first). GIMP comes with full support for a few types built in. If the type you want doesn't appear in file type format of the Open and Save dialogs, you need to check the Plug-in registry to see whether you need to download an optional plug-in. You can drag and drop the file to your OneNote page. That will create a link and create a copy of the file in your My Notebook folder. Keep in mind that if you edit the file from OneNote that the changes will NOT be reflected in your original source file.
