Please bring a photo ID. All runners must be over 21. After you have checked in (if you haven't already picked up your number and chip before race day) and before the race you will need to go to the Wristband/ID Station inside the main tent to get a wristband for the post-race party. If you do not have a wristband, you will not be served. Wristband+ticket = Beer.

Yes, you can register on race day for any event that is not already sold out. However, we highly recommend to register in advance or at our Pre-Race Expo on the Thursday and Friday before. Race day registration and pick up lines tend to be long. Plan ahead and arrive early. You should arrive at race day registration at Chumash Park at least 60 minutes before your race to allow for a comfortable registration and time to get to the start line and warm up.

Yes it does, but not to worry-- it doesn't begin until the day after the race. DST officially begins at 2:00 AM on Sunday 2 April. (Next year, though, Daylight Savings Time will begin a lot earlier-- on the second Sunday in March!) By the way, sunrise on race day at Watermelon Park will be at 5:56 AM, according to the U.S. Naval Observatory.

Have your friend(s) contact the trip leader directly! Trip group size is limited for safety and to give a good experience to everyone involved. Trip leaders will turn away people starting with those without proper equiment followed by those who were not signed up.

This is a common question we get from newcomers to the R/C hobby, who have added several option parts to their cars but "lose" drag or road course races. The easy answer is that adding option parts to your car does not simply make your car faster. If you lost to a friend in a drag race, it's possible that your engine is not performing to its highest potential, bad tire traction, higher gearing on your friend's car, your friend may have a two speed transmission installed, etc.

Laura Billetdeaux is in charge of the volunteer schedule. We have over a hundred volunteers of all ages each summer. We couldn't put on a conference without the help of these folks! Some jobs are quite big (coordinators of different areas, such as AV or moderators), others require less time (help out at the pool, chaperone a teen party, help with the fun run).

For the past 40 years, childhood cancer research-physicians have worked cooperatively at institutions throughout North America, setting up clinical trials, and collectively studying the results. During that time, the cure rate has risen from almost zero to well over 75% for children with cancer. Adults are usually treated at individual institutions and are rarely enrolled in clinical trials, and so the research results have been less dramatic.

There will be a bag-drop to store your personal belongings. We do not recommend you carry valuables with you, but it is a good idea to have a change of clothes, your favorite post-race refreshments and snacks and a change of shoes/socks! If you wish to take a camera, a lightweight disposable one is recommended. You should also have a hat and sunglasses - for use after the race!

Check in at the lodge at Camp Lapihio. Please check in even if you picked up your packet Friday night. We need to account for every runner who starts the race.

It depends upon the voluntary role you take up. Most 'visitor services' roles are available 7 days a week. 'Behind the scenes' roles are only available on weekdays.

Yes, there is an in house modern bed & breakfast facility especially for friends & family members. We would prefer it if at least one person accompanies you.

We encourage you to bring a support person with you to the clinic. Out of concern for security, legal issues, and liability, support persons may not be allowed in some parts of the clinic. Ask when you are there.
