If you fail a class the GI Bill will pay for you to retake it. You can only use your benefits to improve a grade if the grade you received is not acceptable under your program. However, the grades from both enrollments in the course will appear on the transcript; both will be used in calculating the total QPA; and both will be used in determining your class rank. The units, however, are counted only once. Usually, no, if your GPA is your only concern. When you retake a class at UMass, the Registrar's office recalculates your GPA to omit reference to your first grade. Law schools and the LSAC do not. As such, there are no post-semester extra-credit assignments or re-examinations permitted. While I am very sympathetic to certain scenarios involving financial aid, scholarships, or admission to a certain school or program, I cannot use such criteria to adjust your grade. Your best bet to keep on top of your studies during the term.

A Pay Grade is a designation attached to many classified job titles that share the same salary range; for example both a Secretary III and a Locksmith are positions in Pay Grade 7, as well as other positions. Administrative and Professional positions do not have established Pay Grades.
