Regular household paint on a floor is not usually an issue, because of our unique abrasives. Zirconia cloth belts should definitely be used to remove regular household paint from a floor. The black bitumen-type paint which frequently ‘picture-frames’ floors in old houses, usually about a metre all round the edge, can be more of a challenge. However, with the zirconia abrasive, and the instructions in our book on how to get rid of it, you should get it all off.

It’s very difficult. K&M can try to extract paint from carpet fiber, and its technicians have been successful in doing that in some cases; however, paint is very hard to get out of carpet once it dries.

There are tools designed especially for this purpose. The Super Guide by Hyde? Tools is a metal shield that can be placed between the carpet and the baseboard allowing you to paint one section at a time. Another method is taping the carpet with masking tape or masking paper.

If you only have an inch or two of paint left in the can, and it is water-based paint, there is an easy answer for you. (You can tell if it is water based paint by looking at the clean-up directions on the paint can. If it says to clean up your tools with water, it's water based). Take the can outside to a well-ventilated area, pry the top off the can, and let it sit there for a few days. The water in the paint will evaporate, leaving a solid cake in the bottom of the can.

If the cans are empty, put them in your garbage can/bag. If they have paint in them, lift the lids to let the paint harden and then put them in your garbage can/bag. If they contain oil-based paint, take them to a hazardous waste drop-off site. Call Erie County Hazardous Waste Hot Line for information on dates and locations at 858-6800. They can be set out with your regular weekly garbage pickup. You are allowed to put out 100 lbs. of bulk trash per week.

There are many different products out there; personally I have not found one that is 100% effective. Natures Miracle seems to have a good reputation. There are many home remedies like a dilution of vinegar and water to get the smell out but this solution can also stain many surfaces and carpets so do a small test site first and wait 3-4 days to see if the color changes.

Some tiles need to be glued. Other higher quality carpet tiles need no glue. Not gluing allows for the tiles to be removed, scrubbed in the sink, dried and put back in place - quite an advantage. I'm 99% sure your installer is to blame. The flooring is binding, so it can't expand properly as the room temperature changes.

Glue ear' is a condition which arises when a young child's inner ear become blocked through colds, 'flu or ear infections. It is also known as 'conductive hearing loss'. 'Glue ear' is the main cause of acquired dyslexia, as a child is not able to hear spoken speech clearly enough to distinguish the separate sounds which make up each word. It is essential at an early age for the brain to be able to hear the separate parts of each word and to learn to recognize these sounds.

A There are many things that cause swirls. Your choice of rag to remove the wax, a piece of grit or piece of bug left on the car and drug around by the rag, even how hard you wipe when you are removing the wax residue. Start with the LEAST aggressive remedy and work up as needed to solve your problem, that way you will have the least wear and tear on the finish. If the swirls are in the paint using carbauba wax in the formula will tend to fill in the swirls.

Answer: Most likely, we can take them away for you. The trick is to make sure the paint inside is entirely dry. Then, you can just put them out with your regular trash. The EPA does not allow us to haul liquids, but as long as the paint is dry, no problem.
