Adobe Reader is a stand-alone application that you can use to open, view, search, and print PDF files. If you're looking to create and exchange documents, collect and compare comments, and tailor file security to distribute reliable and polished Adobe PDF documents, look into using Adobe Acrobat. When the PDF author has enabled these capabilities in Acrobat 7.0 Professional or Adobe LiveCycle software, Adobe Reader 7.0 reviewers will be alerted that the document is enabled for review and markup.

After you have uploaded your file, if it is one of the formats we can convert to PDF, you will be offered the option to create a PDF. It is a one click process.

In the Open Dialog box Choose All Files (*.*) from the Files of Type (Windows) or Show (Mac) pull-down menu.

Usually there is someone in the School who knows how to do this and may be able to help you, perhaps using Adobe Acrobat. Yes. pdf2cad converts to .dxf, the industry-standard CAD exchange format. You can open a DXF file in AutoCAD for viewing and editing. When you save it, you can do so in AutoCAD's native DWG file format. This will also make the file size a lot smaller compared to the DXF version, which as an exchange format can become quite large.

PDF generator software is available to help you save your documents as PDFs. There are several programs available for both PCs and Macs, along with websites that will perform the conversion for you. The new $195 version 6.0 of pdf2cad is basically a "Lite" version of our full Windows desktop package. Priced at $395, that package does enable you to select and convert multiple files in one run. Limiting the functionality of pdf2cad to one file at a time made it possible to lower the price to only $195. If your workflow requires batch conversion capability, you can simply upgrade to the full $395 suite, which also offers a number of other input and output formats.

If you are trying to view a PDF file with Internet Explorer in Vista, and it appears that nothing is happening or if you see a window quickly open and then close this is likely caused by a browser setting. A browser setting called "Automatic prompting for file downloads," which is in your Internet Options, needs to be set to Enable. The software only displays files with a .pdf extension. If the file you want to convert has a different extension, but you are sure that it is a PDF file, you should rename it to include the .pdf extension.

Go to the SUPERVISOR menu and click on the ABOUT FOXTROT menu item. From here click on the REGISTER CLASSES button, then try again.

First, make sure you are licensed for the type of conversion you are doing, and that you have selected the correct input file type. The default input file type is PostScript, even if you have only installed the PCL converter. For PostScript files, if you get several errors in fast succession, the file may contain binary data. Enable the switch for "Binary data in input file." If all else fails, send the file to an appropriate (HP LJ4) printer to verify its validity.
