The Velocity Tuner is specifically designed to install in stock intake tubes. However, if you have had aftermarket work done (such as an aftermarket or custom intake) or you want to install it in a cold air intake, you would need to perform custom work to install it such as perhaps welding it, using Epoxy, or using Nuts/Bolts.

A: There are generally two types of intakes available. The "Short" Intake, as opposed to the so-called "Cold Air" intake. The short intake replaces the filter and piping in the same position as OEM. If some cooling is taking place but not enough, then the chances are that the system is low on Freon. The only reason a system would need Freon is because the Freon leaked out. If the leak is not sealed before recharging with Freon, the Freon will eventually leak out again. Leak repairs are expensive so if it's a small leak it may be more cost effective to recharge the system every two or three years. Freon recharging is not a do-it-yourself job. So... You've improved the exhaust, fitted a "high-flow" air filter, replaced the ECU, fixed the suspension, and generally had a great time. Where is the air coming from that's being fed into the engine? Right... It's being drawn in from the engine bay and the stock air sensor position is close to all those hot parts. So if your home is at 80 degrees, you would expect to have 60 - 65 degree air coming from your vents.
