You can fix something to the outside of your windows to stop birds from flying into them. Birds fly into windows because the reflections confuse them. Some see the reflection of trees and the sky and don't realise it is glass. By fixing something to the window you will reduce the reflection and birds are less likely to be confused. Plastic stickers work well - RSPB reserve shops sell stickers in the shape of bird silhouettes, which are ideal.

Birds nesting, especially Jackdaws, can be a problem. More so the nearer you get to the countryside. There are companies who make purpose built bird guards. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy solution to this one. Bells on collars are not a complete solution because often by the time they ring it's too late for the bird. Behaviour modification isn't going to work because you can't be there every time the cat hunts. Doing anything when your cat appears with its prey will only stress the cat out - it is too late for it to associate its hunting instinct with your displeasure.
