You will receive an e-mail confirming your votes with instructions on how to either validate your votes and make them final, or cancel them. Once you have confirmed your votes you will receive a further confirmation e-mail. If you received confirmation e-mails after submitting and then confirming your vote, then barring any technical problems, your vote will have been received OK.

It takes anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks for a local elections office to process your voter registration after they receive your form from Headcount. You should receive a voter registration card confirming your registration in the mail anywhere from 2-6 weeks from now. This card will contain the location of your polling place, information concerning the type of ID you may need to bring to the polls, plus your party affiliation if you chose one.

You should receive a voter precinct card in the mail at least 2 to 4 weeks after submitting your application. You are not officially registered to vote until your application is approved. If you do not receive your voter registration card or to find out if your registration is current you should: Check the status of your registration by visiting the Secretary of State's voter information website at sos.georgia.gov/elections to access the poll locator.

Shortly after you complete your registration form you should receive a postcard from your county election office saying you've been registered. You do not need to bring this card with you when you go to vote. All registered voters (with the exception of those who register at the last minute) receive a "Sample Ballot" from their county elections office. Registered voters also receive an official voter information guide from the California Secretary of State.

Applicants' registration forms are reviewed within 2 to 5 days after receipt. Applicants should hear about the status of their applications within one week of registration.

Answer: No, you do not need to be a registered voter in order to register voters. There are no statutory restrictions on who can register people to vote.

The Board of Elections should send you your registration card, with polling place location, in the mail before Election Day (the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November). If it does not arrive, you should contact your county board of elections to ensure you are registered and to find the address of your polling place. Consider voting an absentee ballot if you expect to be away from the county on Election Day.
