In most homes we recommend that fixtures over tables to hang 60" - 72" from the fixture to the floor. For Kitchen islands 70" - 76" from the floor will provide good light on your workspace without hanging too low.

We recommend 32" - 36" over the playing surface. The light should reach the corner pockets. If you anticipate that your table will be used by inexperienced players, you may choose to raise the fixture slightly to avoid errant pool cue strikes.

Pendants or fixtures that hang above the island or bar should be high enough so that all members of the household can look across the island or bar without being obstructed by the hung fixtures. Generally the pendants are hung 6 feet above the floor.

You should at least see to that the chandelier is hanging as far up so everyone can see eachother across the table.

It depends on user preference. Proponents of low hang points say it's more like a free flight (unpowered) harness, and this is only somewhat true--having to balance 45+ pounds of motor/fuel will never allow it to be very much like free-flight. Some say that low hang points allow more weight shift control, and this may be true, but weightshift ability is more a matter of the relative position of the hang points and the machine/pilot's center of gravity (CG).

Different hammock lengths (ring to ring) will require different instructions. We can only make recommendations and you will have to tweak the installation to suit you. If your hammock is 13 feet long you will want a space approximately 15 feet apart with a foot of chain or rope at each end to adjust the hammock up or down from the ground. The hammock hooks that you hang the hammock from should be at least 4 to 5 feet off the ground.

Hanging your set at the right height makes all the difference for comfortable viewing. In general, there are two schools of thought: If you will be watching the TV while sitting on the couch, then the center of the TV should be at eye level when sitting up straight on the couch. However, this could make the TV seem low when standing next to it.

Consider your heavy bag as your opponent. With that in mind, the bag should be high enough to deliver a blow to the "head", so the top of the bag should be about level with the top of your head. If you have a very short bag, you may need to adjust this height somewhat. Unfortunately, this is normal. The combination of your punches and gravity are causing the contents of the bag to settle to the bottom. The best and maybe only option you have, is to purchase an outer cover for your bag.

A chandelier that is hung in a foyer should have the bottom at least 8 feet above the floor. If the ceiling is very high the chandelier may be hung higher than 8 feet. If there is a window above the door thru which the chandelier will be seen from the outside, the chandelier should be hung centered in relation to the window.

This depends a lot on the conditions in which it is flown, but flights in excess of 300 miles in length and altitudes of well over 20,000 ft. MSL have been recorded. More typically, pilots in the summer frequently achieve altitudes of 5,000 to 10,000 ft AGL and fly for over 100 miles.

The recommended distance from the ground for placement of the tree hook is between 4 and 5 feet. If your supports are closer than the above recommended distance, the tree hooks should be raised.

Helpful Hint: Take a string and tape it to a shape of a shade/globe made from cardboard, then tack or tape the string to the ceiling where you want the light fixture to hang. Adjust the string to different heights, then leave it there to live with for a while. Watch for vision blocking or positions where a head could come into contact. This will help you determine the right height for your custom fixture.

If the water table is likely to rise a foot or more above the base level of a buried tank, the tank must be anchored down against possible floating up when the tank is drained. (See suggested anchoring details) Dirt cover and water in the tank will of course help keep the tank in place.

If during soil testing it is determined that the water table is high (less than 5’ below the surface) the engineer would be required to design a mounded system under conventional means. What this means is that the “zone of treatment”, the layers of gravel and sand where all the effluent will be filtered cannot be sitting in the water table. The conventional septic system’s entire zone of treatment is approx. 7’ deep and MUST sit above the water table.

Most people hang pictures too high. The often-repeated rule of thumb is that the horizontal centerline of a picture should be at eye level. This is not particularly helpful advice since people vary in height, but an average-size person should be able to look comfortably at a picture without having to either bend down or look up.

If your ceiling is 8 feet high the bottom of the chandelier should be 30 inches above the table. For a higher ceiling the chandelier may be raised 3 inches for every foot of ceiling height above 8 feet. For example for a 10 foot ceiling the proper height would be 36 inches (30+6).

All recessed lighting fixture such as high-hats are required to have thermal protection. Recessed fixtures have a wattage limit. When a bulb that has either too many watts or is not the correct type ( an "A" rather than a "R") the fixture will shut down until the thermal probe is cool and then turn on again to start the process all over again. This will cause the lamps to go off and on by themselves.

Yes you can. You will need to change out the ballast, capacitor, ignitor and lamp. However, there are several cautions that must be taken: the metal halide wattage must be within the fixture limitations; the socket position may need adjustment; the reflector may be different or the ballast strapping may not fit properly.
