A hair system is defined by the American Hair Loss Council as "Any external hair bearing device added to existing hair or scalp to give one the appearance of a fuller head of hair. (i.e. Hair weaves, hair extensions, hair pieces, toupees, non-surgical hair replacements, partial hair prostheses, hair wefts, etc.) Devices may consist of human hair, synthetic fiber or a combination of both." These hairs are generally dyed to match your own hair.

Theoretically, all human hair can be dyed to change the color and add highlights, BUT the outcome of the color dyed is very unpredictable. Therefore we do NOT recommend the customers do that because we have no control on that procedure. Any alteration of colors of our hair products is totally under customers' own risk. Hair transplantation can be quite time intensive. Depending on the amount of hair that needs to be transplanted, it often takes several operative sessions, and these must be placed at least 6 to 8 months apart. We can move hair in very thin strips or we can use plugs containing 10 or 15 hairs per plug, but these techniques are much less popular than they once were. They often produce an artificial look that can be detected by others on casual inspection.

Natural hair has many color variations. You don’t need to have an exact match. Just apply the shade closest to your hair color, and it will magically blend in.

We recommend shampooing the hair whenever it becomes necessary. Excessive build up of styling aids and natural oils may promote more frequent shampooing. For some customers with a busy workout schedule, that may be daily. For natural and textured hair that is prone to dryness 2 to 3 times a week may be sufficient.

One of the largest costs with hair systems is when you have to get a new one. There are several reasons including loss of hair (and you thought that was solved!), fading of hair in sunlight (in systems made with human hair), and general deterioration of the hair piece as a whole.
