Nausea which is not a problem if initially the tablet is taken with food. Education, support and a very slow introduction usually work. Once somebody sees a positive and knows they are fully supported then we are on the winning way. Dizziness is occasionally a problem and your Doctor will keep an eye on your blood pressure if this is an issue. Later in the disease we know there are drug induced side effects but the benefits of Levodopa for people with Parkinson's far outweigh these.

Phenobarbital and potassium bromide both have the same potential side effects of excessive hunger, excessive thirst, excessive urination, sedation and ataxia (hind end weakness). Not all dogs will have all of these side effects and most of the side effects will subside or disappear as a dog becomes adjusted to the medication. Phenobarbital and potassium bromide also have more serious potential side effects that are seen in a very small percentage of dogs.

Simvastatin (Zocor®) is a well-tolerated drug taken by millions of people worldwide. A few people (about 1 in 100) may develop elevated liver enzymes. For this reason, we will perform a blood test before you start simvastatin to make sure that your liver enzyme levels are normal and we will periodically check your liver enzymes as part of your participation in AIM-HIGH. Stomach upset may occur. If this persists or worsens, let your AIM-HIGH doctor know promptly.

Most people who take LAMICTAL can tolerate it well. However, as with all medications, some people experience side effects. The most common side effects with LAMICTAL include dizziness, headache, blurred or double vision, lack of coordination, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, and rash. With LUMIGAN ophthalmic solution, side effects are usually tolerable.You may experience increased eyelash growth, itchy eyes, or temporary eye redness (hyperemia). Eye redness can occur immediately after use but usually lasts only a few weeks. Your eyes may get red but typically won't hurt or itch. (Call your doctor if they do.) In clinical studies, approximately 3% of patients taking LUMIGAN stopped taking LUMIGAN due to eye redness.
