What is the Silent Auction?

The show is financially supported by the donations of auction items and the sale of those items on the Saturday of the show. Pipes, cigars, tobacco, tobacciana, and non-tobacco items are donated by pipe carvers, exhibitors, club members, and benefactors of the show, and are deeply appreciated. We could not run the show as it is without these donations. From 11 a.m. until around 3 p.m.

What is the Silent and Live Auction?

The Silent Auction is a collection of items (see "Bid for Prizes" tab) that you can bid on for purchase the day of the event. To bid on the items simply write your name and a bid on the sheet in front of the auction item. Each participant has the opportunity to "out bid" you by writing in a higher price for the Silent Auction item. All Silent Auction items will have a minimum bid and a minimum incremental bid.

A ? The silent auction has five different color-coded sections that close at various times throughout the evening. For example, the 1st section will close (no more bids will be taken) around 6:00 p.m., the second around 6:30 p.m., and so on. The auction takes place on two levels, in both Egan Hall and the gym. When you arrive on Friday night, you will register your name and receive a bid number. To bid on an item, simply write your number on the bid sheet provided with each item.
