Interviews are strongly recommended but not required. They are arranged by IBEAR staff after an applicant submits an application, transcripts and scores. Some interviews are conducted by alumni. Applicants are encouraged to visit the USC campus and meet IBEAR participants.
They have graduated from medical school preferably within the last 5 years; they are ECFMG certified; and it is a plus if they have completed some clinical experience in the United States with evaluations from each experience included in the application. If an applicant graduated from medical school more than five years ago, but has been actively practicing medicine since then, his or her application may still be considered on a case-by-case basis.

No. Because ACS serves an internationally mobile population, student on-campus interviews are often impossible to arrange. However, in some cases an interview may be required. ACS certainly encourages all interested families to visit our schools, especially potential boarding students. We find this helps families begin to look forward to their pending relocation to our school community.

Often, transfer students have questions about their credit evaluation and their majors. Some students also schedule visits with the chairpersons of their academic departments.
Interviews are required for the Executive MBA Program. You may interview whether or not you have an application on file, and you are not obligated to apply even if you have interviewed. We conduct interviews year-round in Atlanta for both program formats. In many parts of the United States and around the world, Yale Alumni Schools Committees (ASCs) serve as liaisons between prospective Yale students and the Undergraduate Admissions Office. As admissions applications are processed, each ASC receives the names of local applicants and schedules individual interviews over the course of the application season. Although the interview is not required, we strongly encourage applicants to take advantage of the opportunity if they are contacted.
