Can I use a regulated power supply with the amplifier?
The Leach Amp FAQYes. I have had one student who used regulated power supplies because the bargain transformer that he bought had too high a secondary voltage rating. He designed regulators to drop the voltage down to the required values. I have no recommendations on the design of the regulators. They must be able to pass the full amplifier current and the pass transistors in them must be heat sinked. In effect, each regulator is another power amplifier that supplies voltage and current to the amplifier.
Which power supply should I choose for my servo amplifier or stepper driver?
Electromate Industrial SalesThe two types of power supplies are regulated and unregulated. We prefer unregulated power supplies since the current doesn't "fold back" when it gets too high. However, an unregulated power supply's voltage may spike and blow the drive if you do not size the power supply's voltage a little lower than the drive's input voltage. The current on your power supply can be greater than the drive's, but it should not be less than the rated current of the motor.
What is the output power rating of my Crown amplifier?
Amplifier Frequently Asked QuestionsOutput power specifications are provided in the specifications area for each Crown amplifier model. If you can't find your model of Crown amplifier try the Legacy amps page.
Is there another power amplifier choice?
FAQIt is important to realize that the power requirements of a fully active and open baffle loudspeaker, like the ORION, are quite different from those of a conventional box speaker. Woofer, midrange and tweeter drivers each have their own power amplifier assigned to them. The amplifier need not have any more output power than what is needed to push the driver to its full cone excursion. Any more power than that can lead to damage of the driver.
Can I power more than two channels from a single power supply?
The Leach Amp FAQYes. However, the maximum power output per channel with all channels driven simultaneously will be decreased. The power output with only one channel driven will not be affected.
Do I need a special power supply?
Flow meter, mass flow controller, mass flow meter, flowmeter...No, the 810 and 820 series meters operate in using a "single ended supply" meaning you only need between 9 and 25 VDC to operate them. We sell very reasonably priced power supplies that accomplish this in a very economical manner.
How can I get a negative voltage out of a single battery for a bipolar power supply?
Common Questions Beginners Ask and their AnswersCheck out the ICL7660, 7662, LT1026, voltage converters. They can double, produce negative voltages etc... from a single battery.
my question is can three phase power analyser can be used for analysis of single phase power supply?
Ask the Experts - EnergyVortexmy logic says ,it can be used but i don't know its consequences or,side effects,if any, please help me. using a scott transformer, feeding two single phase loads, which are unbalanced, how dramatically could this affect the overall power system? Are power electronics and svc the only solutions to mitigate the problem? Which solution is most appropriate> My name is Jose Garcia, EE. My Company: AGC Electric & Recycling Contractors Inc., Miami, FL.
Does the amplifier put out a dc voltage on the loudspeaker if one of the power supply fuses blow?
The Leach Amp FAQI have compared your circuit diagram to your parts layout for the circuit board, and I think that I have found an error. The order of R30 and D5 is reversed when you compare the diagram and the layout, and similarly for R31 and D6. These elements are in series. The order of series elements doesn't matter. A math analog is 2 + 3 = 3 + 2. It doesn't matter which comes first. I have redrawn the circuit diagram to reverse the order of the resistors and diodes.
What are the power supply requirements?
Elecraft K3 FAQThe K3 DC voltage required is 13.8 V nominal/recommended; 11 V recommended minimum; transmit disabled below 10 V; system shutdown below 9.0 V. The K3 is portable, thus it's designed for operation with a 12-V vehicle battery or gel-cell. Estimated minimum current draw with no enabled options is 0.9 A on receive, 3 A at 10-W and 20 A at 100-W. These figures will be refined after further testing. On all HF bands, TX with a 12.0-V supply still allows 100 W+ output.
What size transformer or power supply do I need ?
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)The main purpose of your power supply is to run your trains. To run your train your power supply must supply energy for your locomotive, smoke unit, sound system , and any lighted cars. You may also need power for accessories like switches, street lights, building and house lighting or any other accessories. Your TOTAL POWER REQUIREMENTS depends upon the number of locomotives or motors, and ALL OTHER items that require electricity. The length of the track is not a factor.
What is a 'Power Supply'?
LPD Electronic Services Limited - FAQ - ISO9001:2000A 'Power Supply' converts the high voltage industrial or household mains electricity supply into a safe low voltage power source suitable for use with electronic equipment.
d -Can I put different types of power valves in my amplifier?
Marshall Amps :: Frequently Asked QuestionsWe recommend when replacing power valves they need to be replaced with the same type and model and they are matched, the amplifier will also need to be re biased to match the new valves to the amplifier. All work of this nature must be carried out by a qualified engineer.
How is output power calculated when an external amplifier is added?
Wireless ISP FAQ - dslreports.comMost amplifiers used for Wireless ISP purposes (including 2.4Ghz flavors) are rated for output power. Therefore, input power and losses prior to the amplifier can be ignored. Typically, the amplifier is mounted very close to the external amplifier, without any extension cables or extra connectors.
How do I know what power amplifier I should use?
Aaron Hi Fi Frequently Asked QuestionsIn general the amplifier power should not be greater than the power range we recommend in our specifications. Please note though, our specifications are ratings based on the amplifier specifications being honest, this means that the amplifier manufacturer should be quoting the power as continuous RMS power 20Hz ? 20KHz.
I want to upgrade the Operational Amplifier (OPAMP) chips. What do you recommend?
Soundcard FAQ and Sound Card Support - Auzentech, Inc. Sound...A :We highly recommend the Texas Instruments / Burr Brown OPA2134PA. You will need four OPAMPS to upgrade the X-Meridian, or six OPAMPS to upgrade your X-Mystique or X-Plosion card. These OPAMPs are readily available from DigiKey.com. To install the new OPAMPS... Power down your PC completely, ground yourself by touching the metal casing of the computer, and avoid placing the circuit board on an ungrounded surface. Take note of the direction of the existing OPAMPs.
What is the significance of the lights on the power supply?
Frequently Asked Questions about the Q MachineThe significance of the lights is to show you firstly that the power is on - the first green light is only a "power on" indicator, then as the lights increase it is showing you how much power the unit is supplying to the array in the bath. The more lights, the more power. a rule 2-5 lights up is the optimal power, any more than that and you are drawing more power which will put more strain on the unit itself.
Supply Layers, Power Planes, Polygons in Inner Layers - What is what?
CadSoft Online: Frequently asked questionsIf you would like to use copper planes in inner layers you should be aware of several things and know how this works: EAGLE uses so-called Supply layers, that will be generated automatically and lead one single signal. And there are the quite "normal" inner layers that use polygons for copper planes. This one can be activated with the Supply option in the DISPLAY menu, Change button.
i -Do I need to change all my power valves at the same time, and do I have to re bias the amplifier?
Marshall Amps :: Frequently Asked QuestionsWe recommend all power valves are replaced at the same time you use matched valves and the amplifier will need to be biased to match your new valves. All work of this nature must be carried out by a qualified engineer.
