Gilbert Toastmasters has a tradition of giving a standing ovation to individuals who accomplish milestones. We define milestones as significant events including induction of new members into the club, completion of the initial "Icebreaker" speech, and the attaining of Toastmaster designations (CTM, ATM, DTM, CL, AL, CC, AL, etc. - see "Toastmasters Love Acronyms" for more details).

The Best Speaker award criteria is designed to allow for this. The award, as mentioned above, is given to the individual who best meets his/her project goals. Because of this, the award is not necessarily given to an individual many may consider to be the "better speaker" or to a more experienced speaker.

There are only two ways to destory a speaker (and crossover in the case of split systems). One is thermally where the voice coil and/or the former melts because of too much heat (either by too much current flowing through it or an amplifier clipping and hence impeding the cooling). The other is physically (where the voice coil and former hit the back plate on the bottom of the speaker or simply tear the surround and/or spider(s) and pop the cone and motor assembly right off the frame).

Similar to transfer credit, students may receive up to one-third of the total credits necessary for the degree. Requests for advanced standing are reviewed on an individual basis. Yes. Most seminaries will grant you advanced standing credit for your degree program if you pass the appropriate proficiency exams. Inquire about advanced standing and transfer credit from the Admissions department of any school you are considering.
