The library gratefully accepts donations of books and audio-visual materials. Donations are reviewed by library staff and are either added to the library's collection or offered for sale at the Library Book Sale, generally held in the spring. Proceeds from the book sales are used to support the collections and services of the library. Gifts may be dropped off at any time at the library's Technical Processing Department.

So, read the review carefully and compare how that item scores against how I've scored similar items that appear on the same menu.

It used to be I could point to Bill Sherman's amazing muppography, but it's no longer on the web (nor available via archive.org). This is sad news indeed for those keeping track of Muppet items. VIDEO: many Muppet TV and movie offerings are now available on video. The first three Muppet movies, including Muppets Take Manhattan, are widely available (e.g., through Amazon). Other Muppet movies, and some "Muppet Show" compilations, are also available.

You can find items at all three Chandler libraries by using our catalog. Go to our homepage, chandlerlibrary.org and click the "Catalog" button in the upper left corner. You can then search by author, title, subject, or other keywords. To combine terms or to look for a particular item type (video, audiobook, etc.), use the Power Search.

There is no written list of books or magazines. State Library books/videos are listed in the SDLN catalog.

Our patrons are encouraged to suggest books and other materials for the library by filling out a "Materials Request Card," available at any branch library and the Bookmobile. If you are a local author, you may forward titles of your newest releases or reprints to us, but they must be accompanied with two (2) citations of or copies of reviews from major sources, i.e. Publisher's Weekly, Kirkus, Library Journal, etc.

Yes. The library accepts donations of books except for the following: magazines, Reader’s Digest condensed books, textbooks or encyclopedias which are older than 10 years, or books damaged by mold, water, insects, or damaged beyond repair. Please donate only one or two bags or boxes of books at a time. You may receive a receipt for tax purposes, if you like.

A link to the library's online catalog, PamCat, appears in a drop-down menu under the "Library Catalog" heading on the menu bar near the top of each web page. This menu also links to helpful guides, a magazine and newspaper list, and other information about the catalog.

Yes. Please fill in a green recommendation slip, available from the Enquiry Desk, and hand it to the duty librarian. Please provide as much information as possible and explain briefly why you think it should be purchased. All requests will be considered and the material purchased if considered appropriate for the Library's collections.

Books and audio cassettes/CDs are checked out for two weeks. Magazines, music CDs, CD-ROMs and videos/DVDs are checked out for two weeks.

There are a few items that parents must purchase. These items are clearly marked in the course catalog and can be purchased in advance, in some cases from the New Hope Online Homeschool, or from a retailer of your choice. Materials that you are required to purchase (if any) are clearly marked when you register for courses.

Textbooks and/or required course materials will be posted on the class web site. Students may purchase books online at such sites as BN.com or Amazon.com.

Return your materials as soon as possible. There is a book drop available outside Meadows Library and Ayers Campus Library as well as a drop slot in the door of the Anniston Center Library if you arrive after hours. Materials should be returned to the library you borrowed them from. Your materials will be checked in the next day. You will be charged a fine for each day each item is late. Books are $.10 a day, and video tapes are $.50 a day.
