In version 1, your serial number is printed on a white label on the front of the sleeve of the CD-ROM. It may also be printed on a label on the outside of the white shipping box. The format of the serial number is XXXX-YYYY-YYY-YYY where XXXX are letters. In release 1.0.1, it does not matter whether you type a zero or the letter 'o' for '0' nor whether you type a one or the letter 'i' for "1". Some of your computer’s settings can impact the software's efficiency. By changing one (or more) of these settings, you can control how the program performs. The star after the serial number is a replacement note that was issued to take the place of a defective note that was discovered. Using the * ('asterisk'=SHIFT-8) key will get it into the system. Since it's too cost-prohibitive to re-issue the same serial number, it's easier to print up a bunch of star notes and then use them to fill the stack once the defects are pulled out. First, make sure that you are entering the serial number for the version of the software you are serializing. 99% of the problems users encounter is the result of trying to enter a serial number for an old version (for instance entering an ArtMatic 1.2 serial number into ArtMatic Pro). The first step in getting MIDI in and out to function properly is to make sure the cabling to your external keyboard is correct. You need to connect MIDI Out of your keyboard to MIDI In of your interface, and MIDI Out of the interface to MIDI In on the keyboard. All newer Omegas have the serial number on the case back. Most of the Seamaster's, Dynamics, De Villes, and Speedmaster's have it on the seven o'clock lug, while some are reported to be on a different lug. Constellations have their serial number on the screw on case back. Older Omegas have serial numbers on the movement.
