A TTY is a telecommunications device used by individuals with hearing loss and/or speech disability to communicate through the telephone. A TTY is also sometimes called a TDD. The conversation is carried electronically over telephone lines and is read on a text display screen and/or a paper printout on a TTY. The electronic language used by TTYs is called Baudot.

Flower essences were first developed in the 1930's by the English physician, Edward Bach. Dr. Bach was a classically trained physician who became a pioneer in understanding the relationship of emotions to the health of body and mind. Today we call this the "body/mind connection." A TTY, (TeleTYpe) TDD, (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf ), or TT (Text Telephone) refers to one piece of equipment with a small keyboard and visual display. The person using the equipment types what they would like to say and the text is shown on the display. TTYs use a coupler or modem to convert electric impulses into acoustic signals which are then transmitted to a telephone receiver. Sailing through a fleet of monohull trailer sailers in 1973, while on an early Piver trimaran, it occurred to designer that the trimaran configuration would be ideal for the trailer sailer. It is light for towing, much more stable, totally unsinkable, and it sails much faster. The only problem was how to fold it down for trailering.
