The writing exam has two parts. In one part, you are asked to write an essay in which you take a side on an issue and defend your position. Part two asks you questions about grammar. Trained readers at a central CUNY location score the exam. They look for a clear argument that makes sense, good organization (one point logically follows the next), and just a few grammar or spelling errors.

If you believe you have a legitimate reason to challenge the results of your recent CTP certification exam, you must complete the CTP Exam Item Challenge Form. The directions on the form detail the submission process. Upon receipt of your completed form, the certification team will review your challenge, consulting technical staff as necessary. Once the review has been completed, you will be notified of the results via e-mail.

The system is very simple. Each clue is worth a certain number of points. Team with the most points wins. Finishing time breaks ties. Only teams who finish before the 5:00 pm deadline will be eligible for prizes and ranking, but all teams who turn in their answer sheets will be listed on the results page on the web site.

A colonoscopy is almost always done by a doctor, usually a gastroenterologist or a surgeon. Sigmoidoscopies are often done by primary care doctors (general practitioners, family doctors, and internal medicine doctors) in their office. Studies show that a well-trained clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant can do sigmoidoscopies very effectively too.

The scored joints must be tuckpointed to match the rest of the mortar joints. If they are not, the continuity between the scored joint and the mortar joint is lost.

A score report will appear at the end of the test each time you take it. The number of correct answers for each test section is calculated in the score report.
