arrest warrant is an order of the court directing any duly authorized law enforcement official to arrest the person named in the warrant for the offense charged (in this case the offense of Deposit Account Fraud). Give the receptionist your case number, or if you can't remember it, provide your full name and date of birth. Ordinarily, that information will be enough to determine whether there is a warrant for your arrest. Arrangements can then be made through your Deputy Public Defender to accompany you to court to deal with the warrant.

To find out if you have a warrant for your arrest from another law enforcement agency, you may go to the Larimer County Detention Center, 2401Midpoint Drive; the Larimer County Sheriff's Department, 2501 Midpoint Drive; or Fort Collins Police Services, 300 LaPorte Avenue with a valid picture ID.

Upon discovering that a warrant has been issued against you, a party should immediately appear in person at the Office of the Clerk Magistrate to file a Motion to Remove the Default and Recall the Warrant. Since an outstanding warrant may result in the arrest of the alleged violator, time is of the essence and prompt action should be undertaken.

For all misdemeanor warrants of arrest, you can self-surrender before 11:00 a.m. during court days to the Marshall's office at the Fremont Hall of Justice Court. For felony or misdemeanor warrant of arrests, you can self surrender to the Fremont Jail at any time; but if you want to appear in court on the same day that you self-surrender, you must come to the Fremont Jail before 8:00 a.m. during court days for booking .
