Many of our key events take place at the local community college in Petoskey, located at 1515 Howard Street. From US-131 or US-31 heading north: Upon arriving in Petoskey, continue on US-31 north through town. You'll pass the hospital (on your left) and then cross a bridge before turning right onto Mitchell Street into the downtown gaslight district of Petoskey. Head east on Mitchell for two blocks. Howard is the second stoplight on Mitchell. Turn right onto Howard.

Goldey-Beacom is a member of the NCAA, competing at Division II level in all sports including: Men's and Women's soccer, Men's and Women's basketball, Men's and Women's cross country, Women's softball and volleyball, Men's golf and Women's tennis. As a Division II program, students who participate may be eligible for athletic scholarships.

Sports Central will be equipped with basketball courts, volleyball courts, a mat area for martial arts and aerobics, and an area to play games. North Lake College cannot issue I-20's to students who wish to pursue an intensive ESL study program. In order to be admitted to the College, you must earn a score of 530 (197 on the computerized version) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL. This test is given world-wide, and must be taken before application is made. Indicate the institutional code 6519 on the TOEFL registration form to have the TOEFL scores sent directly to North Lake College.

The NCAA has estimated that the probability of competing in athletics at the college level are not great. For example, according to the NCAA, high school men's basketball has close to 500,000 players; 157,000 are seniors. There are approximately 4,500 freshman positions available. This means that approximately 3% of high school senior basketball players will play NCAA sponsored basketball. Don't be put off by these figures.
