If you requested a card to go along with your new account, we will send the card to the address on your application. You should receive your card approximately 7-10 business days from the date your HSBC Direct Online Savings Account was opened. A few days later, we will mail you a PIN that we generate randomly. You can change your PIN# on your ATM card after your issued PIN # has been activated at any ATM machine. A simple balance inquiry will do the trick. Once this issued PIN# has been activated, bring your card into any one of our branches where you can choose another number to be encoded.

You may either call the toll-free number located on the debit card when you receive it in the mail, or you can visit any one of our branches between from when each branch opens until 5:00 p.m. to activate the card. If you choose the latter option, you will need to have a picture ID when you go to activate your card.

Your new card will be mailed to your address of record several weeks before your current card expires.
