To register for the TOEFL test, visit the official TOEFL test information page and select your country. After selecting your country, choose "Scheduling an Appointment to Take the Test." Then you can find all the registration information you require.

You can take the TOEFL CBT once per calendar month. For example, if you take the test in June, you must wait until July to take it again.

The TOEFL is the Test of English as a Foreign Language and is used by most American universities to decide when a student knows enough English to begin university courses. For both undergraduate and graduate programs, Old Dominion University requires a score of 550, (CBT 213). The TOEFL is administered worldwide. The minimum TOEFL test score for admission to the Credit Program is written 450, computer based 133 and internet-based score of 45.

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language is conducted to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English. It is a requirement for admission in the universities of United States.

Since the PSAT is given to every member of the junior class, Thacher will take care of the registration and administration of the test. The school's Testing Coordinator, Mr. Roger Klausler, will guide students through this process.

Candidates for whom English is not their primary spoken language are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS. With a TOEFL Test result of 197-214 points, international students can immediately take part in the university’s regular study program. However, admission to the university’s English program for one semester is possible for applicants who did not take the Test. Participation in this program then qualifies as a substitute for the TOEFL Test.

If your native language is not English, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). You may be excused if you have studied for two or more years in or received a degree from a college or university in a country where English is the language of instruction and where English is also the native language. Cornell’s graduate school sets a minimum passing grade of 550 for the paper exam and 213 for the computer exam. Some engineering fields have higher minimums.

Listening and Structure, computer-adaptive sections, give scores based on your performance and difficulty of your questions. Your Structure score is combined with your essay score. Reading is scored according to how many questions you answer correctly.
