The map you are using is a Spitfire georaster image (.gri) file which is already georeferenced and reprojected and thus cannot be georeferenced again.

Open the map image file using the file -> open menu item. Ensure that the image resides on writeable media as the georeference data is saved in a file in the same location. Press the georeference map button to start the georeference dialog. First you should select the map projection from the drop down list, the map projection is the means by which the curved earth surface is mapped to a flat plane.

Some fonts are smart enough to put curvy quotation marks on the screen and printed page, even when the ones in the text are all straight.

Option "-n" first controls the sensitivity of the alignment. Increasing this option helps to find more hits with many mismatches. However, keeping alignments with many high-quality mismatches is not the right thing, either, as these alignments may be contaminations. In "assembly", maq discards alignments whose sum of qualities of mismatches is larger than 60. Another subtle effect of increased "-n" is to improve the overall mapping qualities.

If you need to georeference the data this can only be achieved in AutoCAD® or a GIS and requires the user to create their own file. Virtually all GIS will read either a MapInfo® TAB or an ESRI® TFW world file. Both differ slightly in the way that they are set up, so the user needs to identify which system they can use.

If you are not the owner of this script, the administrator of the script has the option to disallow auto-creating of counters.
