If you registered using AMIDEAST's local registration service, the scores will be mailed to AMIDEAST's headquarters in Washington, DC, and shipped via TNT Courier to AMIDEAST/Iraq, where students can pick up their scores either in Erbil or Baghdad. We use a Bayesian weighted mean so that more ratings increase the score's validity. The SAVRY is not designed to be a formal test or scale. Each risk factor is coded on a three-level scale, but is not assigned a numerical value. There are no specified “cutoff scores,” nor are data currently available about the degree to which SAVRY coded items - converted to scores - correspond to percentile rankings, or relative base rate position (at, above, or below the base rate) for specified reference groups.

For foreign applications, we require a TOEFL score of 600. While your GRE score is important, we have no specific cut-off for GRE scores, and consider the GRE score to be just one part of your overall application. All applicants must submit a GRE score to be considered for fellowships or graduate teaching assistantships.
