What is the difference between box springs and foundations?
The Bed CompanyFoundations do not have springs. Foundations are actually better for mattresses than a box spring. Generally on a King Size mattress one person sleeps on one side and another person sleeps on the other. The box springs give under them. However, because the box springs are two pieces (to make it easier to get into your house) they are more ridged where they meet in the middle.
