Weight distributing is based on the amount of loaded tongue weight the trailer has. To purchase the correct size weight distributing hitch (WDH), you will need to first load the trailer as you would tow it down the road and then have the tongue weighed. You can weigh the trailer tongue by using a bathroom scale or taking it to your trailer dealer to have the tongue placed on a tongue scale.

Weight distributing hitches apply leverage between the towing vehicle and trailer causing the TW to be carried by all axles of the tow vehicle and trailer. When TW is distributed in this way, trailers with greater TWs can be towed, resulting in a more level ride which reduces stress on the rear of the tow vehicle and provides greater steering and brake control.

The first step is to determine how much lumber you’ll dry in a year. Then figure your average drying time for each of the species you’ll be drying, and you can calculate the size kiln you need from there. For example: you need to dry 500,000 board feet of oak per year. Fresh off the saw, oak takes about 28-30 days to dry, so you’ll be able to do 12 loads in a year. Each load will need to be 42,000 board feet to give you the 500,000 board feet you need for the year.

Hangglider pilots range in age from teens to octagenarians. The limits are more mental than physical. If someone is sufficiently mature to make decisions significantly affecting their safety and has sufficiently good reflexes to make such decisions promptly, then they probably are of a reasonable age for flying. Since flying depends more on balance and endurance than on brute strength, woman and men make equally good pilots.

The Dr Mom Otoscopes are around 7 inches long and weigh 4oz with batteries. They are much lighter and easier to hold in your hand than the heavier professional models. This becomes especially important if you are using the otoscope to do an exam on an uncooperative child. They also fit nicely in a coat pocket and come standard with a pocket clip to make sure it stays in place when clipped in your pocket.

GFI is short for “Ground Fault Interrupt”. You see these outlets in your bathroom or kitchen. They have generally 2 buttons on them labeled “trip” and “reset”. What these do is “trip” (turn off the voltage to the outlet) and pop out the trip button when the outlet senses a current difference between one of the thin plugs (known as "hot"[short plug] and "neutral"[long plug]). Water (condensation) generally will cause this.

The general rule of thumb in aquarium keeping is to have no more that one inch of fish per gallon of water. For Static Line, the weight limit is 230 pounds and no height limit. There is a 235 pound limit for the tandem passenger. It is recommended that the passenger not be taller than 6' 4". Since the passenger needs to assist in climbing out of the aircraft while hooked up with the tandem instructor, the passenger needs to be physically fit. The tandem instructor may exercise the right to refuse to take a person that is too heavy, too tall and/or not physically fit.

About 300 lbs, 6'6" will be a realistic maximum in 15-meter trim. With the 18-meter tips, the maximum pilot weight goes down to about 250 lbs.
