edit] Q. How do I manually load CHDK so I can use it?

FAQ - CHDK Wiki
Start the camera in Play mode. (note: you must start directly into playback mode. It won't work if you start in 'record' mode and then switch to playback mode) Select that function and confirm that you want to update with "OK". See similar questions...

edit] Q. What camera models are supported by the CHDK program?

FAQ - CHDK Wiki
In theory it can be modified to support any camera based on the DIGIC II or DIGIC III platform. (How do you do this?). See Firmware Comparisons to identify which build will work for you. See similar questions...

edit] Q. How can I make the CHDK program load automatically at startup?

FAQ - CHDK Wiki
Copy the files PS.fir and DISKBOOT.bin into the root folder of your SD card (if you have not already done so). If the camera reports that the SD-card is locked, just ignore that information; the camera is still able to store pictures on the SD-card. Note: Unfortunately, autoload does not work with FAT32-formatted SD-cards. This means: cards up to and including 2 GB will work, cards larger than 2 GB won't. Note2: 4 GB cards can support the autoload feature if they are formated in FAT16 manually. See similar questions...

Windows based systems One way to create this file is to switch to dos-mode and type: "copy nul ver.req" <ENTER> Copy it to your SD. edit] How do I upgrade the firmware?

Neuros OSD:FAQ - The Neuros Technology Wiki
Note: this assumes you have an SD or Compact Flash card, and have some way of connecting it to your computer, such as a cardreader, or a printer (many newer printers have them built-in). If you do not, it is highly recommended that you acquire one as you will not be able to do firmware upgrades without it. Download the latest firmware to your PC and copy it to your aforementioned flash card. Plug it into the OSD and browse to the file using the OSD's remote. See similar questions...

edit] Q: Is there a database backend?

FAQ - GnuCash
edit] Q: Is the Postgres DB / SQL backend supported? A: A postgres/SQL backend was introduced in the 1.6 code line, but it never supported any features introduced since the 1.6 release, especially the Business features and Scheduled Transactions. Even so, modulo those features, the postgres backend should still basically function, even in the 2.2 release. However, since the 2. See similar questions...

Using FAQ - Knoppix Documentation Wiki
There is none; all passwords are locked/scrambled by default; you set one yourself for those situations which call for it. You can set the root password by going to Knoppix Menu->Root Shell and typing "passwd", then entering a root password. In Version 5.0.1 you can also go to Knoppix Menu -> Configure -> Set password for root. There are several sections you can read dealing with this subject in KNOPPIX/README_Security.txt. edit] Q: How can I watch a DVD?

Using FAQ - Knoppix Documentation Wiki
First of all, you have to have Knoppix installed on your hard drive. You won't be able to execute the following proceedure if you are running it from the CD. I beleve if you used a USB to hold the changes you make on a system couldnt you use that to watch a dvd? I imagine that would be more useable. Add the following lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://www.videolan.org/pub/videolan/debian $(ARCH)/ deb-src http://www.videolan. See similar questions...

Flashing with TFTP must not be seen as the standard procedure for flashing: only use it when specifically told to do so (for example in the specific instructions for flashing your brand or type of device). Normally, the GUI flashing method should be used; this should be adequate for standard situations. See Installation. Q: How can I "pick up" or edit sprites that are hidden under other sprites?

D-Mod Author's FAQ Revision 1.3
A: If the answer to this was documented, I never found it. I was having a very hard time because I put a lot of sprites on my screen. Small things ended up being behind large things (like trees). I could still see them just fine, but when clicking on them with the mouse, I would end up picking up the tree instead of the small rock behind it. I realized, don't use the mouse when you're placing sprites. It's not very precise and it's easy to move things a few pixels off. See similar questions...

Save the detail emitted to the terminal (if any), as well as the contents of the /tmp/gnucash.trace file. edit] Q: I think I found a bug. How do I report it? A: First of all, try to verify that it is indeed a bug and that it has not been reported before. See similar questions...
