Unless paint is peeling, flaking or detached, it is probably best left alone and appropriately recoated. If your car's paint is in good condition to begin with, the adhesive will not cause damage. Plate may be removed with the aid of a hair dryer to soften adhesive. The safest way to remove the residue from your paint is with white, made in USA, 100% cotton name brand large bath towels, such as Cannon or FieldCrest. Get them in the bath section at any major department store. The towels that you find in auto parts stores, or the auto sections of the department stores are usually not made in the USA, and even though they may say they are 100% cotton, they are not. Anything other than 100% pure white cotton may scratch your paint finish.

Nail technicians remove hangnails with cuticle nippers. The best way to prevent hangnails is to use cuticle cream, oil or lotion that is massaged into the cuticle and nail mantle. Then use a cuticle stick to gently push back the cuticle after you have softened it, which in most cases, eliminates the need to trim cuticles of hangnails. Many acrylics change color to a yellow cast just from wearing them for a long period of time or if a basecoat is not being used under polish.

Wave Corrector is less effective against crackle than against other types of noise. The program is designed to restore vinyl recordings which generally contain discrete clicks rather than constant crackle. Crackle is more typical of old shellac records (78’s). Unfortunately, crackle is a type of noise which is too continuous for click corrections to be totally effective; but it is too impulsive for a hiss filter to be effective.

A successful technique used by many has been to first soften the sticker glue with a hair dryer then apply WD40 and scrape the stickers off with your fingernails. Those stickers are on real good and it will take some time taking off just a little bit at a time. The WD40 should not damage the paint or windscreen but you should satisfy yourself of this by applying a small amount to a test area first.

Well, there is no real easy way to remove cactus spines although many techniques have been proposed. The best alternative is to try and not get stuck by a cactus, but if you do here are some options. Generally, a comb is useful to remove cactus stem pieces (such as cholla joints/branches) and clusters of spines. Individual spines are best extracted with fine-tipped forceps or precision pliers.

Although we use the best products possible for our siding, the life of your new siding depends greatly on the paint job it gets. You must use a good quality primer/sealer and a high quality top coat that is compatible with the primer to get the best results. Make sure the edges are primed/sealed BEFORE installation. Once your siding is installed it is impossible to seal the edges properly. The prime coat is the most important coat. Oil/alkyd primers are recommended; latex primers also work well.

Dried latex paint can be removed by soaking brushes in denatured alcohol and cleaning with a brush comb. You could also use a commercial brush cleaner for synthetic brushes like Sav-A-Brush? powder by Red Devil. Simply mix with water and soak brushes to remove dried paint.
